They may be sent by any means, road, rail, or air, and may be carried by a variety of agents. </font></p> <p><strong>SSCC code= Packaging indicator + Manufacturers code + Serial no. + check digit.</strong> </p> <p><font color="#333333" size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The SSCC uniquely identifies each logistic unit as a separate entity regardless of its contents. GS1 recommends that these numbers do not have any other significance, and are not designed to fit in with existing in-house numerical codes.
